Contract type: 1 year contract with possible extension / permanency.

Job purpose:

To work as part of an efficient and professional administration team providing excellent levels of service to both internal and external customers.   Act as first point of contact for our customers, answering queries whilst maintaining a positive and professional attitude, demonstrating knowledge and building customer confidence. 

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of customer details and communication.
  • Manage and prioritise workload to ensure that all deadlines set are reached.
  • Timely answering of telephone calls and professional and effective dealing with telephone queries.
  • Involved in administration & order processing as per department needs
  • Working closely with internal and external contacts to ensure on time delivery and develop strong working relationships

Essential Criteria

  • GCSE Maths/English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy & numeracy
  • 1 year’s previous administration experience in a busy, fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work accurately and within strict timescales
  • A calm, controlled, professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about customer service

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working within a busy customer services team-based environment within a manufacturing environment

Job purpose:  An excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.  The role will involve being responsible for testing and diagnosing electronic sub assemblies.

The role requires an excellent communicator comfortable dealing with other engineers, management & customers.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Assist the Test Supervisor in identifying needs and requirements within the department (e.g. Identify Equipment; Calibration requirement, resources, etc.)
  • Maintain the Test Department Equipment and Software Data Logs
  • Develop Test Procedures to meet Customer test requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Degree in Electronic/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent and experience of diagnosis and fault finding using a variety of test equipment.
  • Ability to read & interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Proven approach in problem solving techniques

Desirable Criteria:

  • 1 years or more relevant industrial experience in similar role would be an advantage  (May include placement year)
